Mobile portal by Telefónica O2 Czech Republic O2 Active (wap.O2Active.cz) is since 1st November 2007 absolutely for free. Connection is also absolutely for free (it not depends on your tariff). There are not hidden fees. Customers pay only for premium content, which they can download to mobile phone, such as wallpapers, ring-tones, games, etc. Paid are also sections which contains erotic content.

Before entering paid zone, customers are warned by small graphic sign. Absolutely free are fresh domestic and foreign news, customers can search for contacts of companies or offices, get actual traffic frequency or weather forecast, see program of nearest cinema, find time-tables of trains and buses and find out many various information they need. Connection to wap services is absolutely free only in case you are using GPRS (GPRS is using by more than 99% customers). In case, you are using CSD in old mobile phones, which not offers GPRS, first 5 minutes is for free, than it costs 1 CZK per minute.

Services of the internet portal Centrum.cz, which is owned by company NetCentrum s.r.o., are from the 1st November 2007 also available on portal O2 Active. These services are: new mobile search engine Centrum.cz, E-mail Centrum.cz, Catalogue of companies, News server Aktuálně.cz and XChat. All these services are, of course, for free. Company iCom Vision, s.r.o., which is one of the best in section of developing new innovative mobile solutions, essentially cooperated on preparing and developing each of these services.

One of the head novelties is service Email Centrum.cz. This service brings to customers of Telefónica O2 Czech Republic, who have an e-mail on server Centrum.cz, new possibility to read, send and forward e-mails or compose mailing lists, anywhere and any time they want. If they want, they can do it in tram, for example. There is only one limitation of this service. Customers cannot work with attachments. They can only see a list of them. Everything is absolutely for free. You need only mobile phone which supports wap services. Usage is similar to web client. You just need to insert login and password.

Next new service that was prepared in cooperation with iCom Vision, s.r.o., is Aktuálně.cz. This new service offers users easy and fast entrance to various information from News server Aktuálně.cz from mobile phone. It contains of daily fresh domestic and foreign news, so the customers of Telefónica O2 have new chance how to be always well informed.

Customers of O2 have also new access point to favourite internet service XChat straight in mobile phone. XChat offers not only the chance to get knew new people, but it also offers connection to any of many different chat rooms on the Internet chat forum too. Mobile version has similar functions to web version. On mobile there are functions like chat rooms, user can create or edit his own profile, browse profiles of other users, included their photos. Service is good for everybody who wants to be always in connection with his friends and chats with them in case they don't have access to computer. Thanks to XChat on O2 Active you can be in touch with your friend everywhere you want, and it´s absolutely for free.

Thanks new Catalogue of companies users can easy and quickly solve any problem. They just need to find some person (or institution), who will help them quickly and professionally solve the problem. To the box WHAT fill in the subject of your searching and to the box WHERE location of searching. Then just press button FIND and on the screen of mobile phone you will see a list of results of finding included all contact information and phone numbers. In most cases there is a possibility to contact them by pressing on their phone number in contact box. Telefónica O2 customers can now easy and quick find solution of their problem. Catalogue of companies is one of the largest database of public institutions and offices, companies and firms in Czech Republic. It consist of 300 000 items.

The last one, but no less important novelty, on mobile portal O2 Active, is service Mobile search engine Centrum.cz. Mobile search engine Centrum.cz is normal search engine, whitch is using on web pages. After setting key-word, press button FIND and on display of your mobile phone you will see a list of results of the searching. New search engine by Centrum.cz can adapt the results of searching to concrete type of mobile phone, recognize the intention of search and offer the best list of results according to the intention. If the result leads to paid zone, the consumer will be warned by small graphic sign on the beginning of it. This search engine is setted on the front page to bring much comfort to customers.
